Richmond Dads are being invited to celebrate the lead up to Father’s Day a little differently this year, with a free community 5K run along the riverside followed by coffee, connection, and a relaxed morning in the heart of town.
Taking place on the weekend before Father’s Day, the special Run Club will take place on Sunday 14 June at 9am. The event will be hosted by Be Richmond - the town’s Business Improvement District - and organised in partnership with The Dads’ Run Club and oneday. Coffee Richmond.
The free 5K route follows the scenic Richmond riverside and is designed for all abilities, whether participants are seasoned runners or simply looking for an enjoyable way to spend quality time outdoors.
Starting from oneday. Coffee at Richmond Lock, runners will be welcomed from 8:30am ahead of the 9am start, before returning for coffee and socialising afterwards. All participants will receive 20% off coffee following the run.
Organisers say the event is designed to encourage connection, community spirit, and a more meaningful way to celebrate Father’s Day locally.
Eleanor Miller, the event organiser for Be Richmond said:
“This year we wanted to give something back to the Dads of Richmond, with an event that is about spending quality time together, feels welcoming and is accessible for everyone. The run club is a great opportunity for people to get outside, meet others, and enjoy Richmond’s riverside community atmosphere together.” The event is free to sign up here https://berichmond.london/news/article/celebrate-fathers-day-with-a-free-5k-run-club-in-richmond
As part of the Father’s Day celebrations, Be Richmond is also running a special competition giving one lucky winner the chance to enjoy a £150 voucher to Noci Richmond.
Whether celebrating a dad, grandad, partner, brother or father figure, the prize offers the perfect excuse to enjoy fresh pasta, signature small plates and a memorable meal together in Richmond.
The competition runs from 1 June until 14 June 2026, with free entry available via the Be Richmond website https://berichmond.london/
