Women's healthcare is evolving, and at the forefront of that change is BID Member, London Gynaecology, a specialist provider dedicated exclusively to women's health. From adolescence and fertility through to menopause and beyond, the organisation's mission is simple: to ensure every woman has access to expert, compassionate and personalised care when they need it most.
Leading the Richmond clinic as CEO is Nicola Aspinall, who is passionate about improving access to specialist healthcare for women across Southwest London. The Richmond clinic opened last year and has quickly established itself as an important part of London Gynaecology's growing network.

"For too long, women have faced delays in accessing specialist care or have felt that their concerns weren't being fully heard," says Nicola. "At London Gynaecology, our entire focus is women's health, which allows us to provide dedicated, expert care tailored to each individual's needs."
According to Nicola, the decision to open in Richmond was a natural one.
"Richmond offers everything we were looking for," she explains. "It's an incredibly well-connected location with a thriving community atmosphere. People choose Richmond because of its quality of life, and we wanted to bring specialist women's healthcare closer to where women live and work."
Raising Awareness of Specialist Services
One of the key challenges the clinic has faced is ensuring local women are aware that specialist services are available on their doorstep.
"Many people still assume they need to travel into central London to access expert women's healthcare," Nicola explains. "One of our priorities is making sure women know that they can receive the same high-quality specialist care locally and without unnecessary delays."
Through community engagement initiatives, media partnerships and awareness campaigns such as Perimenopause Awareness Month, London Gynaecology continues to educate and inform women about the support available to them.
Becoming Part of the Community
Since opening, London Gynaecology has embraced the opportunity to become an active member of the Richmond business community. Working alongside local organisations, including Be Richmond, has enabled the clinic to raise awareness of important women's health issues and encourage greater access to specialist care.
"We've been incredibly welcomed by the local business community," says Nicola. "The collaborative approach in Richmond aligns perfectly with our own values. We want to be more than just a healthcare provider. We want to be a trusted partner within the community, supporting women through education, awareness and access to expert care."
These partnerships have helped London Gynaecology engage with local employers, organisations and residents, reinforcing the importance of prioritising women's health and wellbeing. Richmond has also proven to be an attractive location for healthcare professionals, helping London Gynaecology recruit and retain highly skilled clinicians who share the organisation's patient-first approach.
Special Offer for Be Richmond BID Members
If you are a Be Richmond BID member, your business can access a complimentary, expert-led women's health session with the specialist clinicians delivered virtually or in person, and tailored to whatever matters most to your team, from menopause and fertility to endometriosis or nutrition.
Plus, following the success of London Gynaecology's inaugural The Table in Richmond this summer, the clinic is continuing the series, bringing together people from healthcare, business and the local community for conversations around women’s health, wellbeing and modern life.
Each Table is individually curated by their Partnerships Lead, Jenna McDonald, with the topic, format and guest list changing each time. Future editions will once again bring Richmond’s business community around the table.
If you are interested in either the complimentary session or The Table, Jenna McDonald, Brand Manager would love to hear from you.
Looking Ahead
As the clinic continues to grow, Nicola and her team remain focused on expanding access to specialist healthcare across Richmond and Southwest London.
"Our ambition is to become the first choice for women seeking specialist healthcare in the region," she says. "We'll continue investing in our consultant team and services so that women can access rapid diagnosis, expert treatment and ongoing support throughout every stage of life."
