Spring in Richmond wouldn’t be complete without one of the borough’s most loved traditions – and this year the Richmond May Fair is back on Saturday 9 May 2026, bringing colour, creativity and community spirit to Richmond Green from 10am to 5pm. As the town’s Business Improvement District, Be Richmond is delighted to be sponsoring the free events programme for the day, helping to ensure that everyone can enjoy a fantastic day of entertainment in the heart of the town.
The Richmond May Fair is a true celebration of everything that makes our local area special. With more than 200 stalls lining the Green, visitors can browse a wonderful mix of independent traders, charities, artisans, schools and local businesses. From handcrafted gifts and unique finds to local produce and community causes, the Fair offers the perfect opportunity to shop local while discovering the incredible talent and generosity within Richmond.
Families can look forward to the return of some much‑loved favourites, including the vintage funfair, which promises old‑school thrills for children and the young at heart alike. Another highlight of the day is the ever‑popular Richmond May Fair Dog Show, a must‑see for dog lovers. Local owners can pre‑register their pups and compete in a variety of fun categories – or simply enjoy cheering on some four‑legged stars of the show.
A bustling craft marquee will showcase beautifully made items from local makers, while an exciting range of food and drink stalls will keep everyone fuelled throughout the day.
