Brian's Story

Brian joined The Poppy Factory in 1987, taking on a variety of roles and becoming an integral part of the team. In 2012, he received the incredible honour of crafting a wreath for Her Majesty The Queen—a moment he describes as a highlight of his career. Reflecting on the experience, Brian shared, “When I was asked to be introduced to Her Majesty, there was no way I could say no!”

The recognition didn’t stop there. Brian’s exceptional work caught the attention of both BBC and ITV, as well as local media, further solidifying his legacy at the factory. After nearly three decades of dedicated service, Brian bid farewell to The Poppy Factory in 2014. As he puts it, "The memories of that final day will stay with me forever."
