Community Events, Family Events, Countryside and Crafts
Tuesday 6th August 2024 10am - Thursday 8th August 2024 12pm

Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 August, 10am to 12noon Bring on the Bling!

Be dazzled by some amazing beaded wedding shoes in the Museum's collection, and upcycle some tote bags with recycled materials and bling. Our workshops at the Museum help you explore Richmond's history, get creative and spend some quality time together as a family.

Workshops are £6 per child, adults are FREE (You can also book FREE places for children not doing the craft, like under 5s who may not be quite ready for it yet!)

All of our workshops are led by our Museum Expert, Vicky, who has over 15 years of experience of working with families in museums and has an Enhanced DBS check.

Workshops are aimed at children aged 5-11 years old, who must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For children aged 11 and over, we can make the activities more challenging for them.

About Richmond

Richmond is an affluent residential district bordering the River Thames. Tranquil Kew Gardens attracts botanical enthusiasts and families with its huge Arboretum, 17th-century Kew Palace, and panoramic views from its Treetop Walkway. Herds of deer roam Richmond Park, a popular picnic spot. The Quadrant main street and nearby roads have eclectic shops, casual and upscale dining, and performances at Richmond Theatre.
