Welcome to Be Richmond's 'Get on Board 2023', an exciting event that aims to raise awareness about plastic pollution in our waterways and bring the Richmond community together for a day of fun and environmental action. This year's event will take place on Thursday 22nd June, starting at 12pm from Kew Bridge, W4 3NG, and finishing at River Lane, Petersham, Richmond.
As a participant, you will have the opportunity to paddle from Kew Bridge to River Lane, Richmond, collecting plastic from the river along the way. This is a great way to contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment while enjoying the beauty of Richmond's waterways.
The event is now open to everyone, and the ticket includes entrance to the event, training, and post-event reception. Active360, the leading company on the water, will provide mandatory training sessions for all participants. These sessions are designed to give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively control your board, navigate the river safely, and work with experienced coaches and safety boats on the day of the event.
At 'Get on Board 2023', you will not only have the chance to contribute to a cleaner environment but also be part of a great community event involving residents, businesses, workers and charities. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against plastic pollution in our waterways.
Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to paddle, collect plastic and enjoy the company of others who share your passion for the environment. Sign up now for Be Richmond's 'Get on Board 2023' and let's make a difference together.
