New Website – Get Your Business on Board
Work has begun on the new Be Richmond website, which will have a section featuring stakeholders. In order to populate this part of the site, we need the following content from you as soon as possible:
- Photograph or logo (300 dpi resolution file size 5MB max)
- 50-word description
- Address including postcode
- Telephone number
- Website address

Social media is promoting Richmond BID to the wider world and highlighting key events and activities. Our team would like you to advise them about news and events that you’d like to promote. Please email details to firstname.lastname@example.org – ideally include an image and a web link.
In addition to social events, we would love to receive contributions from business and office stakeholders.

Celebrate With Us at the BID Launch Event
Thursday 14th September
We are delighted to announce that this will be taking place on Thursday 14th September from 6pm to 8pm.

On Your Bike! London to Windsor Bike Ride Sunday 3rd September
Enjoy a late Summer’s day cycling from Richmond Green through the pretty villages of the Thames Valley to Alexandra Gardens in Windsor.
This is a great annual family event, which this year is supporting Prostate Cancer Research Centre.

Messing About on the River
Great River Race, Saturday 9th September
The Great River Race is London’s aquatic marathon, running along the Thames from Docklands to Ham. It is a spectacular occasion which attracts over 330 boat crews from across the globe.
The race appeals to all levels of competitor, from serious athletes who are out to win, to those who enjoy fun, fancy dress and charity stunts. It’s a great day out for competitors and spectators alike.

Ready, Steady… Richmond Runfest
16th & 17th September
The hugely popular annual Richmond Runfest, is held over 2 days, and is the largest running event in the area.
During the Runfest there will be an initiative to entice runners, friends and families to visit shops in the town and benefit from special offers.
The charity supported this year is Macmillan.
Richmond Recycling – Off to a Flying Start
Following the launch of the First Mile Recycling scheme in April, over 50 Richmond businesses have already benefited from the subsidised service and set up a collection timetable for their waste.
The results to date are very impressive, with almost 140,000 kg of waste collected and not a single gram going to landfill.
The vast majority of waste (85%) has been recycled with the balance incinerated and converted to renewable energy. Details are listed below:
- 97,715 kg of dry and mixed recycled
- 7,471 kg of food waste recycled
- 33,475 kg general waste has been incinerated and converted to renewable energy
