Romance was in the air in Richmond town centre on Valentine’s Day (Wednesday February 14th) as Cupid-themed entertainers sponsored by Be Richmond, ‘wooed’ shoppers and visitors by providing heart-shaped treats and taking selfies.
Sophie and Amilynn McGrath from Chiswick joined in the fun:
“It’s a really great idea” said their father, Tam McGrath.
Mr and Mrs Richardson, who have been married for over 60 years, also stopped to say hello to the cupids.
Leif and his daughter Cid, from Richmond, were delighted to share in the Be Richmond love:
“This is superb, it’s a really cool idea”, said Leif.
Be Richmond Chairman, Erick Kervaon commented:
“Valentine’s is an important trading day for the many retail and hospitality businesses in Richmond. The usual Be Richmond marketing strapline is ‘Live, Work, Explore’ but for this one special day only we changed it to ‘Love, Work, explore’. We were delighted bring some ‘love’ to the town centre and thank residents, workers and visitors for choosing Richmond, which given its beautiful riverside setting, is a very romantic location.”
