Bid with the BID
Online Auction in Aid of The Poppy Factory, Richmond
In the build up to Remembrance Sunday, Be Richmond are running a charity online auction in aid of The Poppy Factory, Richmond.
All prizes in the auction have been donated by Richmond businesses.
Be Richmond Chairman, Erick Kervaon commented:
“At this time of year, it’s important that we remember the sacrifices our veterans, from all services, have made on our behalf. The Poppy Factory in Richmond, employs around 30 disabled veterans and does wonderful work providing ongoing employment support for hundreds of other disabled veterans helping to restore their financial independence through sustainable and rewarding work.
“Be Richmond businesses have generously donated some fantastic prizes to go into the auction and we hope the Richmond public will be equally generous in bidding for the prizes.”
People can register for the auction at www.jumblebee.co.uk/bidwiththebid where they will find a full list of prize auction lots and details of how to bid.
Prizes include: champagne afternoon tea packages, meals at Richmond restaurants, a two month membership to Bhuti, theatre tickets, a hair cut and treatment at Trevor Sorbie, a silver bracelet from Links of London and Joe Wicks signed books.
All funds raised will go to supporting The Poppy Factory’s work across England and Wales to help ex-Forces men and women with disabilities or health challenges into meaningful employment.
Deirdre Mills, Chief Executive of The Poppy Factory said:
“The online auction is a great way to support The Poppy Factory at this important time of year as everyone benefits. We appreciate the generosity of Richmond businesses in providing such attractive prizes.”
